New Delhi: An Eva Air BR67 Bangkok-London flight had to make an early landing at Heathrow Airport recently after a passenger allegedly attempted suicide inside the aircraft’s restroom.
As the plane descended, the crew members noticed a passenger was in the restroom and when they tried to check on the individual, they realised that the passenger was attempting to self-harm, Sun reported.
Crew members and a doctor, who was onboard, provided first aid to the passenger.
The plane had to make an early emergency landing at Heathrow airport around 7.30 pm local time where medical personnel were waiting to transport the passenger to a hospital.
The identity and the condition of the passenger have not been revealed by EVA Air.
In January, a Ryanair flight from UK to Spain was forced to land unexpectedly in Portugal due to a fight among passengers. The passengers did not pay heed to the captain’s warning forcing him to make an emergency landing.
