Puri: One bogie of a passenger train derailed at Puri railway station in Odisha on Tuesday. However, no one was hurt in the incident.
According to sources, the last bogie of the Puri-Gunupur passenger train jumped the tracks and got derailed while reversing.
A major tragedy was averted as the train was reversing after de-boarding the passengers at the railway station when the last coach got derailed.
Senior railway officials reached the site soon after the incident. An accident relief team is expected to reach the site soon for carrying out necessary evacuation and repair works. Further details are awaited.
