Bhubaneswar: Passengers of Delhi-Jharsuguda SpiceJet flight SG 8941 had a harrowing time on Friday as the airline abruptly canceled the flight after allegedly subjecting them to a nine-hour wait at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.
According to reports, the flight was scheduled to take off at 12.20 pm, but SpiceJet changed its departure several times before finally cancelling it around 9.30 pm, inconveniencing hundreds of flyers.
The flight was scheduled to reach Jharsuguda at 2.20 pm.
Upset over the cancellation of the flight, the passengers vented their anger at the airline. They claimed that the airline’s staff neither provided them with a designated lounge to wait nor confirmed whether the flight would operate on Saturday.
According to VSS Airport, Jharsuguda, daily report, one flight was cancelled on December 22.

The airline has not released any statement on the same.
