New Delhi: Baba Ramdev-backed Patanjali claims to have successfully tested a cure for COVID-19. The company has conducted clinical trials on hundreds of corona positive patients and got 100 per cent favourable results, CEO Acharya Balkrishna said.
The report added that clinical trials were conducted in Indore and Jaipur after Patanjali secured the regulator’s approval.
Balkrishna informed that the company had set up a team of scientists after the first outbreak. First, they carried out a simulation followed by a clinical trial in Indore and Jaipur in which COVID-19 patients were given the medicine. Patients recovered in 5-14 days and then tested negative, he said.
The medicine named Coronil is a mixture of Ashwagandha, Giloy and Tulsi and can be taken twice daily.
“We are not talking about an immunity booster. We are talking about a cure,” Acharya emphasised.
Complete data and evidence will be shared in 4-5 days, Acharya said, adding that the cure is possible through Ayurveda.
