Chennai: The Madras High Court has summoned superstar Dhanush in a paternity case, which was filed by an elderly couple, reported India Today.
Kathiresan and his wife Meenakshi had claimed that Dhanush, who mainly works in Tamil cinema and has also featured in some Bollywood films, was their third son run away from home to work in films.
The couple has also sought maintenance of Rs 65,000 from him in a case which has been going on for several years.
According to The Times of India, Kathiresan had moved court claiming that Dhanush submitted forged documents of paternity test. Kathiresan has also filed an appeal to quash the order passed in 2020, dismissing the case.
The court had then stated there were no supporting documents to prove paternity documents were forged.
Dhanush, who is separated from Rajinikanth’s eldest daughter Aishwarya, had argued that he was born to Tamil filmmaker Kasthuri Raja and his wife Vijayalakshmi, contesting Kathiresan and Meenakshi’s claim.
