Bhubaneswar: Tata Steel in collaboration with Pathani Samanta Planetarium in the city will conduct the ‘Young Astronomer Talent Search’ (YATS) 2020 for school students in Odisha on Sunday.
Held since 2007, the annual event aims to identify and encourage talented school students in the fields of astronomy and space science.
Sources associated with the YATS 2020 event said several programmes will be conducted online for high school students to mark the 185th birth anniversary of legendary Odia astronomer Pathani Samanta on December 13.
There will be daylong knowledge workshops and interactive sessions with experts in the fields of astronomy and space sciences for school students.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to grace the ceremonial closing function of YATS 2020 as the chief guest.
