Bhubaneswar: The capital city reported a marginal rise in daily COVID caseload as 1414 cases were detected in 24 hours between 9 am of Tuesday and that of Wednesday against 1402 patients in previous 24 hours.
As many as 1360 COVID positive cases were reported till 9 am of Monday against 1321 on Sunday and 1233 on Saturday.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), the daily caseload during the latest period crossed 100 in Khandagiri, Chandrasekharpur, Patia and Nayapalli areas of the city.
Of the total new cases, 1370 patients are local contacts while 44 are from quarantine.
Of the local contact cases, maximum 177 cases are from Khandagiri, 125 from Patia, 123 from Chandrasekharpur, 109 from Nayapalli and 93 from Old Town.
Total 733 persons recovered from the infection during the period taking the total number of recoveries to 1,26,409. The active cases have gone up to 10,177.
No new fatalities due to COVD were reported from the city during the same period with the toll remaining at 1105. The total cases stood at 1,37,712.
