Dhenkanal: A patient died after falling from the fourth floor of district headquarters hospital (DHH) in Dhenkanal late on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Sanjaya Bhol of Haridapasi village near Bhapur under Dhenkanal Sadar police limits.
He was suffering from gastritis and admitted to the hospital on Saturday morning.
According to family members, Bhol started shivering and moaning in pain late in the night. He was then administered an injection. At around 4 am, he left his bed for the washroom and fell to his death from the balcony.
Under what circumstances the mishap took place place is yet to be ascertained.
On being informed, Dhenkanal Town police station reached the spot and started investigation.
