Patient Goes Missing From COVID Hospital In Odisha’s Angul

Angul: The family of a COVID-19 patient have expressed resentment after he went missing from a COVID Hospital in Talcher in Angul district.

According to reports, Maharaga Nayak of Ghantapada village tested positive for the virus on September 30 and admitted to the hospital in Talcher. He was set to be discharged on October 7 and his family members had arrived at the hospital to take him home. However, when Nayak did not come out of the hospital, the family members first approached the hospital authorities and then informed the panchayat sarpanch.

The aggrieved family members told the media that though they have taken up the matter with the hospital authorities, police and the district administration, there has been no response till date.
