Cuttack: A woman patient was critically injured after a ceiling fan fell on her at the surgery ward of the SCB Medical College and Hospital here on Monday.
According to sources, the woman of Odisha’s Jajpur district was admitted to the surgery ward with severe burn injuries four days ago. After her surgery, she was kept in the ward.
Around 8.30 this morning, a running ceiling fan over her bed suddenly snapped and fell on her chest.
Following the incident, the doctors and the staff nurses admitted the woman to the ICU. The condition of the woman is stated to be critical.
