Bhubaneswar: Tension prevailed at the Capital hospital in Bhubaneswar on Monday after patients failed to get registration tickets to consult doctors in the out-patient department.
Sources said staff at the registration counter were on strike owing to pay irregularities. Patients and their attendants created a ruckus on the hospital premises when they failed to get registration tickets for OPD.
On being informed, the police arrived and tried to pacify them. The staff responsible for patient registration are contract employees of an organisation.
