Patitapaban Mohanty Appointed Director Of NIRTAR In Cuttack

Cuttack: Dr Patitapaban Mohanty has been appointed as director of Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research (NIRTAR) at Cuttack.

The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, in an official notification on Friday, stated that Dr Mohanty has been selected as director of NIRTAR through the recruitment process conducted in New Delhi from July 17 to 21.

Total 29 candidates including former director Dr Shakti Prasad Das appeared for the interview held for the post. Of them, Dr Mohanty was selected while Ganapati Shankar has been kept in waiting list.

Dr Mohanty has been serving as in-charge director of NIRTR since January 2022. An acclaimed physiotherapist of international reputation, Dr Mohanty had obtained his PhD from Utkal University.
