Balangir: Punjilal Meher, the main accused in Patnagarh parcel gift blast case lodged in Balangir jail, was allegedly thrashed by the jailor.
Informing Patnagarh SDJM court about the incident, his lawyer has sought necessary treatment for his client.
Punjilal was shifted to Balangir jail on February 8, 2019, following allegations that he was
inciting other inmates of Patnagarh sub-jail, where he was then lodged after being arrested on April 24, 2018.
He was allegedly the mastermind behind the parcel bomb blast case in which newly-wed groom Soumyasekhar and his grandmother were killed.
