Cuttack: To ensure that no health or anganwadi worker misses the COVID vaccine, the Cuttack district administration on Friday came up with strict measures.
The health and Anganwadi workers who fail to take COVID-19 vaccine by February 10 will have to face pay cut or stipend withdrawal.
Informing this, Cuttack Collector Bhabani Shankar Chayani said salary, remuneration and stipend as applicable will be deducted.
A circular issued by the administration states that, “It is found that a large number of Health Workers/Anganwadi Workers who have registered under different establishments are not turning up for COVID-19 vaccination. As the percentage of vaccination of Cuttack district is one of the lowest in the State, it is causing a great embarrassment.”
He requested to the registered persons to take Covid-19 vaccine positively by February 10.
Meanwhile, the second phase of the vaccination will start from Saturday. In the second phase, Police Department officials, employees of Collector Office and Municipality employees will take the shots.
