Khurda: Police seized 17 grams of brown sugar from Gurujang area in Khurda district and arrested one peddler in this connection on Tuesday.
The accused has been identified as Chhabindra Pradhan.
Acting on a tip-off, the police raided Prdhan’s house in Gurujang area and seized brown sugar worth of Rs 1,70,000.
Notably, Pradhan was arrested earlier for his involvement in brown sugar smuggling.
