Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Saturday urged people to take the COVID booster dose in view of the upcoming festive season.
The free COVID vaccination drive is underway at 1,100 centres. “
More than one crore people have been inoculated with the booster dose,” said state Family Welfare Director Bijay Panigrahi.
Meanwhile, the daily COVID caseload in Odisha dropped below the 200-mark again after a day’s gap on Saturday with 146 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours against 203 infections on Friday and 180 on Thursday.
As per the state I & PR Department’s report, 86 cases are from quarantine and 60 local contacts. Of the fresh cases, 13 are in the 0-18 years age group. The test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 1.16% and the state now has 1,327 active cases.
