Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is leaving no stone unturned to push the ‘Mo School’ campaign through its ‘Mo School Abhiyan’ effort. The state has issued new guidelines for the school adoption programme (SAP) and will create personalised profiles for educational institutions.
The profiles will be created by the ‘Mo School Abhiyan’ team in association with local authorities and school managements. Profiles will have aspects like enrolment, teachers, infrastructure, learning outcomes, key gaps and challenges, reported The New Indian Express.
Reports will also be prepared every six months at the schools on the progress made on various aspects.
Under SAP, the Odisha government has allowed all leading members of the society to adopt a school of their choice in the state and contribute towards its development. The mentors are allowed to organise coaching classes, counselling, invite motivational speakers, give awards etc to help the school develop.
To ensure effective implementation of the programme, the state government will also reward and recognise schools that fare well.
The schools’ performance assessment will be done according to the existing mechanism of School and Mass Education department. Teachers and staff too will be rewarded for their performance under the scheme.
