Bhubaneswar: The state government has decided to provide agriculture input subsidy to actual farmers, including share croppers and lessees and accordingly, Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Bishnupada Sethi on Thursday issued a set of guidelines to all district collectors in this connection.
According to the guidelines, subsidy will also be provided to the farmers allotted land under the Forest Rights Act. However, no subsidy will be given for crops cultivated on encroached government land.
Input subsidy will be transferred directly to the farmers’ bank or postal accounts after their identification through on the spot investigation.
