New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices were increased by 80 paise a litre on Friday, hiked for the third time in four days.
Petrol in Delhi will now cost Rs 97.81 per litre, while diesel rates have gone up to Rs 89.07 per litre.
In Mumbai, the new petrol and diesel rates are Rs 112.51 and Rs 96.70 (increased by 84 paise and 85 paise respectively).
In Chennai, petrol will now cost Rs 103.67 a litre and diesel Rs 93.71 (increased by 76 paise). In Kolkata, petrol will now cost Rs 106.34 a litre (increased by 84 paise) and diesel Rs 91.42 (increased by 80 paise).
A record 137-day freeze in rate revision ended on March 22 with an 80 paise per litre increase in fuel rates.
With three increases since March 22, petrol and diesel prices have gone up by Rs 2.40 a litre.
