Bhubaneswar: Petrol became costlier by Rs 1.23 a litre and diesel by 89 paise a litre from Thursday in sync with the rising international fuel prices.
Following the revision, a litre of petrol will now cost Rs 66.91 and that of diesel Rs 55.94. The fuel prices have been hiked, excluding state levies or VAT, and the actual increase will be higher depending on tax rate, agencies sources said.
The rise comes on the back of Rs 2.16 per litre cut in petrol and Rs 2.10 a litre reduction in diesel prices effected from May 16.
