Bargarh: The Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday apprehended District Public Health Officer, Bargarh, Chulabati Sahu for demanding and accepting bribe Rs 5000.
Sahu had allegedly demanded the money from the complainant for issuing a food safety licence in his favour for a new hotel. The entire bribe money has been recovered from Sahu.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches have been launched on different property of Sahu at two places in Bargarh district.
