Puri: A photograph of a senior sevayat reclining on the idol of Lord Sudarshan atop the chariot of Devi Subhadra in Puri has gone viral on social media.
In the photograph, senior sevayat Premananda Dasmahaapatra is seen sleeping while reclining on the idol of Lord Sudarshan.
While the incident has triggered resentment among the devotees, there was no comment from the sevayat till filing of this report.
Talking to the media, senior sevayat Binayak Dasmahapatra claimed that the photograph of Premananda Dasmahaapatra has been morphed and circulated on social media.
To malign the sevayat bodies, some people have deliberately morphed the photo of the senior sevayat, he added.
