Bhubaneswar: Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Bhakta Charan Das has landed in a controversy after his photographs on the premises of Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar were circulated on social media.
The pictures of the former Union Minister which went viral on social media drew sharp reactions from different quarters with many raising questions over the security arrangements in the shrine.
Notably, the pictures were reportedly taken on Monday when Das visited the temple along with several other congress leaders.
The incident has raised questions as to how photos were captured despite restrictions on photography inside the temple complex. Mobile phones and cameras are strictly prohibited inside the temple.
