The revamped auditorium of Pillai Hall — which has hosted various socio-cultural programmes over several decades – now has a seating capacity of 435 people, including ground floor and balcony. The hall is also equipped with HVAC system, light and sound system, false ceiling with acoustic panelling, tiles and granite flooring.
As part of beautification, a fountain has been set up in front of the portico and paver block flooring done in front of the building.
Amenities like rainwater recharge pit, diesel generator back-up during power cuts, green rooms for male and female artists, washrooms for audience, potable drinking water through purifier have also been provided.
