Berhampur: IPS officer Pinak Mishra has assumed charge as the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Berhampur.
The officer was welcomed by senior police personnel of different ranks.
The 2011-batch officer replaced Asish Kumar Singh, who has been posted as the new DIGP, Southern Range, Berhampur.
Prior to Mishra’s appointment, he served as the SP of Sundargarh district.
“Special emphasis will be placed on ensuring people-friendly policing, maintenance of law and order, and smooth traffic management in Berhampur”, Mishra said after taking charge of office.
Highlighting that drives will be conducted in the city against anti-socials and criminals in order to reduce crime, the officer said use of technology will be promoted to control criminal activities.
