Sundargarh: Detailed planning for successful implementation of welfare projects was stressed on a workshop organised by Odisha Mineral Bearing Areas Development Corporation (OMBADC) in Odisha’s Sundargarh.
Speaking at the workshop organised in collaboration with district administration at Sadbhavna Bhawan in Sundargarh on Thursday, Manoj Mahajan, Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, outlined the need and impact of various welfare projects done under OMBADC funding in the district.
He emphasised on robust planning and coordinated efforts among the field officials of departments concerned and project implementation agencies for successfully carrying out projects at the grassroots level.
Jayant Kumar Das, General Manager (Operation) OMBADC, and Bhabani Prasad Das, General Manager (Finance) elaborated on preparing detailed project reports (DPR) while planning various projects. Team Leader OMBADC Ambuj Prasad made a presentation on various OMBADC supported projects inoperation in the tribal dominated district.
Heads of different departments, officials of government line departments and field functionaries of implementing agencies participated in the workshop. Skill development and MIS experts from OMBADC were also present.
The district administration with support from OMBADC has been giving special attention to mega piped drinking water supply project along with road connectivity, modern Anganwadi centres, revamped high schools, bike ambulances in remote areas and livelihood generation for farmers, women and other interest groups.
