Bhubaneswar: Labour Minister Susanta Singh has urged migrant labourers not to leave Odisha during the current COVID-19 situation.
There are many work in Odisha, the minister said, adding that the labourers should stay and search for work here.
Singh further said labourers from outside the state are coming here in search of work. But Odisha labourers are going outside with a hope to earn more money. As a result, they are facing lots of problems in returning home during the lockdown and shutdown periods, he added.
The government is monitoring the activities of dalals (middlemen) and people should not believe their words at face value, he said.
