Bhubaneswar: Bus services on six routes in Odisha’s Rayagada district and 19 routes in Jeypore in view of Peoples Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) week being observed by CPI (Maoist) from Thursday.
The Odisha police has also sounded high alert and stepped up combing operations in the affected areas to thwart any possible subversive activity during this week.
Notably, the CPI Maoists (Basadhara-Dhumusara-Nagabali Division Committee) had declared about PLGA week, which will continue till December 8, by sticking posters and throwing pamphlets at Kalyansinghpur in Raygada district. Buses have been suspended on six Maoist-dominated routes of Chandrapur, Brahmapur, Kashipur, Thuamula Ramapur, Dangapadar and Narayanpatna in the district.
