Plus II Arts, Commerce, Vocational Edu results declared

Bhubaneswar: The results of Plus II arts, commerce, vocational and correspondence courses examinations conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education were announced on Wednesday.

Unveiling the result booklet, school and mass education minister Badri Narayan Patra said 70.17 per cent of students passed in Plus II arts stream while the pass percentage in commerce and correspondence courses were 71.43 and 61.22 per cent respectively.

In Plus II arts, 19, 024 students scored first division and 24,460 second while 1,25,562 got third division. The highest pass percentage of 82.78 was recorded in Puri district while Koraput scored the lowest with 48.08.

A total of 3,860 students secured first division in commerce while 2,932 and 13, 247 passed with second and third division respectively. Khurda district recorded the highest pass percentage of 82.71 and Deogarh the lowest with 39.75.

The female students performed better than the male students in both the streams, the minister said.

A total of 640 students enrolled for correspondence courses passed with first division, 1, 990 secured second division and 1,991 third.

The results are available at www.chseodisha.nic.in and www.orissaresults.nic.in.

On May 12, the results of science stream were announced.
