Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the Plus II examination in Odisha, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Friday dispatched the question papers to various parts of the state under tight security.
Officials said special vehicles were used to transport the question papers from the CHSE headquarters to remote areas of the state. The Plus II exam is slated to be held from February 18 to March 28.
While 14 vehicles were sent to different districts on Friday, 13 more will be engaged on Saturday, acco
rding to CHSE Chairman Mrunal Kanti Das.
In the first phase, question papers were sent to remote regions such as Rayagada, Koraput, Nabarangpur, and Kalahandi.
Altogether 211 examination management hubs have been set up across the state this year. The exams will be conducted at 1,357 centres across 1,909 higher secondary schools, with a total of 4,01,623 students scheduled to appear in the annual exam this year.
For the first time, AI-powered camera systems have been deployed to strengthen monitoring and ensure fair conduct of the examinations, officials said.
AI camera systems have been installed everywhere to detect any form of irregularity and appropriate action will be taken if suspicious activities are found as CHSE has opened a command centre this time.
This apart, GPS has been installed in all the vehicles transporting the question papers for the first time to track their movements.
