Bhubaneswar: School and Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra on Friday clarified that the Plus II results will be published on time and that block grant teachers’ agitation is not going to affect the evaluation process.
Stating that the first phase of Plus II answer sheet evaluation will conclude on Saturday, the Minister said, “The government has called the block grant teachers for discussion, which is the only solution to different problems.”
On Thursday, the state government had recommended the managing committee of Siminai College in Dhenkanal district to suspend History lecturer of the college Mayadhara Sahoo for allegedly boycotting Plus II answer sheet evaluation process.
Prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC have been clamped near different evaluation centres across the state to prevent any untoward incident.
However, the teachers under the aegis of All Odisha School College Teachers and Employees’ United Forum have decided to continue the strike till their six-point charter of demands is fulfilled.
