Bhubaneswar: The results of Plus II Science would be declared in the third week of May, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) informed on Tuesday.

Besides, results of Arts, Commerce and Vocational Education would be announced in the first week of June, it added.

“Compared to last year, the evaluation of Plus II papers will be completed much earlier this year despite the agitation by the All Odisha School College Teachers Staff Joint Forum. We would like to thank the teachers who cooperated with the council and joined the evaluation duty after withdrawing their agitation,” Deputy Controller of Examinations, CHSE, Prabodh Panda told mediapersons here.

In a statement, convener of the Forum, Golakh Nayak, said due to the cooperation of the Forum, the evaluation would be completed in time allowing students to take part in all-India entrance tests.

He, however, said that the Forum will intensify its agitation if the state government fails to fulfill its demands within the specified time frame.

School and Mass Education minister Badri Narayan Patra said as the state government had committed to declare the results in time, it would stick to its commitment on the same.

The evaluation of the annual Plus II papers started on April 4 at 56 centres.
