Murder Whiff In Plus II Student’s Death In Rayagada

Rayagada: A 19-year-old college student was found dead under mysterious circumstances near LIC office at Kasturinagar in Rayagada district early on Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as M Suresh Kumar, a Plus II student of Rayagada Autonomous College.

According to sources, locals spotted the body with visible injuries and informed police, who along with a forensic team and dog squad reached the spot.

“Preliminary investigation suggests that the boy was murdered and the body was later dumped near the LIC office,” said Rayagada SDPO Narayan Rath.

CCTV footage was being examined to ascertain the circumstances under which the student died, he added.
