Balasore: A girl, who scored second division in Plus II Science, miraculously survived an alleged suicide attempt in Odisha’s Balasore district on Wednesday.
Deeply upset with her marks, the student, identified as Itishree of Simulia village under Nilagiri NAC, went to the terrace of her house and jumped off the three-storey building. She suffered grievous injuries and was immediately rushed to Nilagiri hospital by her family members. She was, however, referred to district headquarters hospital as her condition deteriorated, sources said.
The results were announced by Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha, at 11 am.
