Cuttack: A Plus III girl student was found hanging from the ceiling of a hostel room at Udaynath College of Science and Technology here on Friday morning.
According to sources, some inmates knocked on her door as they prepared to leave for the examination scheduled to begin this morning. When she did not open the door, they informed the hostel superintendent. She was later found hanging from the ceiling of the room.
It is suspected that she took the extreme step due to exam pressure.
The deceased is a native of Niali in Cuttack district.
Police have seized the body and started investigation.
