Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Bhubaneswar on Friday afternoon to review the aftermath of super cyclone Amphan in Odisha.
He was received by Governor Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, BJP Vice President Baijayant Panda, Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy and others at Biju Patnaik International Airport here.
The PM will be taking aerial survey of cyclone-affected areas in Odisha in an army helicopter from here.
He is expected to hold discussion with the state government around 5 pm.
Earlier in the day, the PM visited West Bengal and allocated Rs 1000 crore advance assurance along with Rs 2 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 each to the injured.
