New Delhi:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the biggest contender for the Nobel Peace Prize ahead of 2024 elections, media reports quoted Deputy leader of Nobel Prize Committee Asle Toie as saying on Wednesday.

Calling India a legacy of peace, Asle Toje said the country is destined to be a superpower and PM Modi is the most trusted leader for stopping war and only he can establish peace. He praised PM Modi for telling Russian President Putin that this is not the era of war.

In one of the interviews with national channel, Asle Toje said that PM Modi intervened on a positive note in Ukraine crisis warning Russia against using nuclear weapons. “PM Modi is one of the most reliable faces of peace in the world. Every leader in the world should work for peace and a powerful leader like Narendra Modi has much more ability to do so,” he said.

He said that PM Modi is one of the elder statesmen of the world and the most reliable face for peace.

He further said India is becoming rich-powerful country only because of PM Modi’s policies.
