New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Nitin Nabin on being appointed as the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), terming it the largest party in the world.

At the BJP headquarters in New Delhi, Modi said that Nabin will carry forward the legacy of the BJP. He underlined that the newly appointed BJP national president belongs to the generation that has witnessed major economic, social, and technological transformations in the country.

“Nitin ji himself is, in a way, a millennial. He belongs to a generation that has witnessed a great deal of change in India. He belongs to an era which, in childhood, heard the news on the radio and today is well versed in using AI,” the Prime Minister said, as reported by Hindustan Times.

“When it is about the party, Nitin Nabin is the boss, and I am a party worker. Now Honourable Nitin Nabin ji is the president of all of us, and his responsibility is not just to manage the BJP, but also to ensure coordination among all NDA allies,” Modi said.

The Prime Minister made it clear that the BJP will work towards strengthening its position in the northeastern states

“Our Northeast r

egion doesn’t have many voters, nor does it have many seats. That’s why it was neglected for years under the Congress governments. But the sensitive BJP connected the Northeast to both Dil and Delhi,” PM Modi said, outlining the path that Nabin needs to tread.

Modi also underscored that Nabin possesses youthful energy and extensive experience in organisational work that will be very beneficial for every worker of the party. He emphasised that for the past several months, from the smallest unit of the organisation to the election of the national president, the entire process has been carried out in a completely democratic manner.

The party’s leadership is guided by tradition, enriched by experience, and advances the organisation with a spirit of public service and national service, the PM said. The grand event of the Sangathan Parv symbolises the BJP’s democratic faith, organisational discipline, and worker-centric approach, he added.

As per AIR, Modi highlighted that people’s trust in the BJP has continuously strengthened, adding that in the last 11 years, the party has had a remarkable journey of earning public trust. The Prime Minister underlined that service to the people has always been the party’s topmost priority.

Union minister J P Nadda, who Nabin replaced as party president, also hailed his win.

Nabin is mature in his ideological background, having served as an MLA five times at a very young age, Nadda said. He added that a young, energetic, and talented personality has taken up the responsibility as the national president.
