New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a visit to the construction site of the new Parliament building in New Delhi on Sunday.
The PM went for the inspection at 8.45 pm on Sunday and spent an hour doing first-hand inspection of the ongoing construction.
The new building construction is taking place close to the existing one under the Central Vista redevelopment project and is likely to be completed within 21 months of the start of work.
The Central Vista Avenue’s Bhoomi Poojan ceremony was performed by then Union Minister of State with Independent charge Hardeep S Puri along with other senior officers of the Ministry at India Gate, New Delhi on February 4.
