Puri: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to have darshan in Jagannath temple in Odisha’s Puri during his visit to Odisha this month.
According to BJP’s state president Manmohan Samal, the Prime Minister will visit Puri in the last week. He will also go to Jagannath temple to have darshan of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra.
Expressing his happiness over Modi’s visit to the temple, his dynastical priest Raghunath Gochhikar said though he had not been officially intimated in this regard, the BJP had informed about the PM’s visit.
Gochhikar said like any other devotee, he will take Modi to have darshan of the sibling deities and offer puja inside the temple. He will also present special cloth, Mahaparasad and photos of the Lords to the Prime Minister.
Modi had last visited Jagannath temple on February 7, 2016. Earlier, when he was Gujarat chief minister, he had darshan in the temple in 2013.
