Ayodhya: The countdown has begun for the much-anticipated Ram Mandir consecration ceremony.
Four days before the Pran Prathishtha of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released commemorative postage stamps featuring the Ram Mandir.
The stamp has been designed with the image of Ram temple, the Chopai, along with the mantra ‘Mangal Bhavan Amangal Hari’.
The PM, who will be the main ‘yajman’ of the consecration ceremony next Monday, has been sleeping on the floor and having only coconut water as part of the special 11-day rituals that he has been following ahead of the Pran Pratishtha, India Today reported quoting sources.
He started the rituals on January 12, saying that he was fortunate that God chose him as an instrument to represent 1.4 billion Indians at the “historic” and “auspicious” occasion of Lord Ram’s Pran Pratishtha.
The PM has decided to adhere to ‘Yam Niyam’ for 11 days and is strictly following all instructions laid down in scriptures.
Modi is also observing a fast with strict penance during this 11-day period, according to officials.
