Jhabua: Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday virtually launched BJP’s poll campaign from Jhabua in Madhya Pradesh.
Addressing a rally in the tribal-dominated district, PM Modi asked voters to ensure polling of an additional 370 votes in each booth, compared to the last elections, for the BJP to win 370 Lok Sabha seats.
In his speech, Modi also said that he had come to Jhabua not to campaign for Lok Sabha polls, but as a ‘sevak’ (servant) of the people.
“Before I arrived here, I saw that there were discussions about my journey as well. Some people were saying that Modi would kick off the Lok Sabha battle from Jhabua in Madhya Pradesh,” the PM said at the tribal-dominated rally in Madhya Pradesh.
“I want to clarify that Modi hasn’t come for campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections. Modi has come as a sevak (servant) to express gratitude to the people of Madhya Pradesh…,” he added.
