Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections scheduled next year, the Odisha BJP has come up with a proposal for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to contest from Puri.
At a press briefing here on Friday afternoon, BJP state president Basant Panda, said that the proposal has been given to the BJP Central Parliamentary Board, which will take a final decision.
Talking about a recent survey by Republic TV and ABP (Ananda Bazar Patrika) that out of 21 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha, the BJP will get 13 seats and the BJD and Congress will get 8 and 3 seats respectively in the 2019 general elections, Panda said his party will get even more seats.
He further said that the 120 mission of the BJP in the ensuing Assembly elections in Odisha has become brighter. “We will achieve our objective as the people’s opinion, according to the survey, is in favour of the BJP,” he maintained.
