PM Modi’s Odisha Tour Schedule For June 20 Finalised; Check Details



Bhubaneswar: The detailed tour programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is slated to visit Odisha on June 20 to grace the Mohan Majhi government’s 2nd anniversary, has been finalised.

According to the tentative schedule, Modi will arrive at Pahadpur helipad in Mayurbhanj District at 11.05 am.

Official sources said on Monday that the Prime Minister will depart from Kalaikunda Air Force Station in West Bengal by an MI-17 helicopter at 10.20 am and arrive at Pahadpur Helipad in Mayurbhanj at 11.05 am. He will then travel to Gosani Peeth by road at Pahadpur, the ancestral village of President Droupadi Murmu. He is slated to reach there at 11.15 am.

He is scheduled to spend about an hour in Pahadpur and visit the historic and cultural sites in the area till 12.15 pm. After concluding the visit, he will return to th


e helipad and depart by helicopter at 12:25 pm, reaching Dandbose Helipad at 12.45 p.m.

From there, the Prime Minister will proceed to the venue of a mega event at Rairangpur marking the completion of two years of the BJP government in Odisha. He will be present there for around an hour from 1 pm to 2 pm. He is expected to address a public gathering during the event.

After the programme, Modi will leave the venue at 2.05 pm, reach Dandbose Helipad by 2.10 pm, and depart Odisha at 2.15 p.m. by MI-17 helicopter for Tarkeshwar in Hooghly district of West Bengal, where he is scheduled to arrive at 3.30 pm.

Sharing details of the visit, BJP Odisha unit general secretary Biranchi Narayan Tripathy said the Prime Minister has consistently brought major developmental initiatives for Odisha during his previous visits and expressed confidence that this tour would also prove significant for the state.

Whenever PM Modi has visited Odisha, he has gifted the state major development projects. “This time, too, as he comes to Rairangpur for the BJP government’s second anniversary celebrations, we expect him to announce several new schemes and projects. Since the BJP came to power in Odisha, the Prime Minister has visited the state seven times and has always shown his commitment to building a developed Odisha,” said Tripathy.

He said the Prime Minister’s visit would boost the morale of BJP workers and strengthen both the party organisation and the state government.
