PM Narendra Modi Gets 66 PC Support, Naveen Patnaik Most Popular CM: Survey

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the most popular national leader while Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik leads the list of popular CMs.

According to a IANS-C Voter survey, 65.69 per cent of Indians are satisfied with Prime Minister Modi with 58.36 per cent saying they were “very satisfied” with his performance.

A breakdown of ratings among the states shows that Odisha gave the highest score of 95.6 per cent followed by Himachal Pradesh (93.95) and Chhattisgarh (92.73) to Modi.

Pitted against Modi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was a popular choice among 23.21 per cent.

According to the survey of the research firm, there was a close contest between Naveen Patnaik and his Chhattisgarh counterpart Bhupesh Bhagel among popular chief ministers.

Ultimately, Naveen came out as most popular with support from 82,96 per cent respondents while Bhagel was supported by 81.06 per cent.

The least popular chief ministers were of Haryana, Punjab and Uttarakhand.

The C-Voter’s “State of the Nation 2020: May” survey consisted of 3000 responses from each state and union territory.
