Vande Bharat Express arrives at Puri railway station
Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually flag off second Vande Bharat Express train in Odisha on Sunday.
The Prime Minister will attend a function, which will be held in Bhubaneswar railway station, from New Delhi. Odisha Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will attend the function.
The state’s second Vande Bharat Express will run from Puri to Rourkela for six days except Saturday in a week. The superfast train will cover 505 km between the two places in 7 hour and 45 minutes.
20836 Puri-Rourkela Vande Bharat Express will leave Puri railway station at 5 am and reach Rourkela at 12.45 pm. Similarly on return journey, the train will leave Rourkela at 2.10 pm and arrive at Bhubaneswar at 9.40 pm.
The Vande Bharat Express will have stoppages at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Talcher Road, Angul, Rairakhol, Sambalpur City and Jharsuguda.
This Vande Bharat service will reduce the average travel time from Puri to Rourkela compared to Puri-Yog Nagari Rishikesh Express which takes 11.50 hours and Puri-Hatia Tapaswini Express which takes 10.25 hours, which is the fastest train on this route.
It is one of 9 new Vande Bharat Express trains that will be flagged off by the Prime Minister on Sunday.
