Police Begin Probe After Woman Found Buried In Her Betel Farm In Balasore

Balasore: In a bizarre incident, a woman was found buried in her own betel plantation in Odisha’s Balasore district on Monday.

According to Baliapal IIC Bimal Kumar Nayak, the woman was identified as Sonali Patra.

According to her family members, Patra left for the plantation – in Choumukha village under Baliapal police limits – in the morning but didn’t return. Curious and worried, they went searching for her and found her in a freshly dug grave.

Baliapal police have begun an investigation into the incident.
