Police Bust Duplicate Cement Plant, Seize Over 500 Bags In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Police have busted a factory producing duplicate cement of reputed brands on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.

According to sources, a team from Badagada police station conducted raid on a cement store on Tankapani road on getting reliable information about sale of duplicate cement. During the raid, the police came to know about the cement factory and carried out raid there.

The police seized more than 500 bags of duplicate cement packaged in the name of reputed brands. The cement was produced with ash and sand with a little quantity of original cement.

These duplicate cement bags were sold in rural areas surrounding the capital city. The company was charging Rs 200 less than the original price of the cement bag of the reputed brand.

The police have also sealed a godown of the company at Pahala and detained the owner of duplicate cement plant in this regard.
