Police Complaint Filed Over Derogatory Remarks Against Odisha CM Mohan Majhi

Bhubaneswar: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lodged a complaint at a cyber police station in Bhubaneswar on Friday over the alleged use of abusive and derogatory remarks against Odisha Chief Minister M

ohan Majhi.

BJP sources said the party filed a formal complaint at the Maitree Vihar Cyber and Economic Offences Police Station in the capital city. The complaint claims that objectionable and offensive language was used regarding the Chief Minister’s name.

Terming the remarks as highly inappropriate, BJP leaders said the abusive comments amount to deliberate defamation of a constitutional authority. Such remarks were intended to damage the image and dignity of the Chief Minister and create unnecessary political tension, they claimed.

The BJP has urged the police to take quick and strict legal action against the individual responsible for the derogatory remarks.

In their complaint, the party leaders have sought a detailed investigation to trace the origin of the remarks and identify all those involved in their circulation.
