Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police carried out a massive checking operation in different hotels in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
According to sources, the police carried out the checking as part of security measures for Republic Day celebration in the city on Friday. One platoon of police force and personnel of Team 60, headed by officers conducted the search operation in the hotels at different locations in the city.
The hotels in Master Canteen, Cuttack Road, Kharavel Nagar, Badagada, Chandrasekharpur, Khandagiri and Infocity areas of the city were checked by the police teams during the day.
The enforcement drives were carried out on the order of Bhubaneswar DCP under Safe City drive of the Commissionerate Police of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
